Pescador tells parallel stories of two American siblings in Costa Rica. A Young American Scientist travels across the staggering vistas and harsh jungles of Costa Rica, searching for a mythical fish and straining the limits of human connection. After a desperate act, she falls asleep on a bus and the film starts over. In part two, a magical lobster grants a lonely fisherman his greatest wish: to be a father. The Fisherman finds the Scientist’s Brother adrift at sea and nurses him to health. The Brother is hellbent on escape, but, slowly, he accepts help, learns to fish, and integrates into the Fisherman’s community– until their fragile bond is upended.

Una joven científica estadounidense viaja a través de paisajes beatíficos y condiciones duras mientras ella busca un pez mítico en Costa Rica y pone a prueba la conexión humana. Después de un acto desesperado, se queda dormida en un autobús y la película comienza de nuevo. En la segunda parte, una langosta mágica le concede un deseo a un pescador solitario: un hijo. El pescador encuentra al hermano de la joven científica a la deriva en el mar y lo cuida hasta que se recupera. Al principio, el hombre es combativo y está decidido a escapar, pero poco a poco acepta la ayuda, aprende a pescar y se integra en la comunidad, hasta que su frágil vínculo se ve trastocado.
